(WASHINGTON, D.C.) A St. Joseph 7th grader certainly has a way with words.

Sophia Nguyen, 13, from Bode Middle School, made it to the final day of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Nguyen finished in the Top 28 after getting eliminated Thursday morning when she misspelled the word "cetacean," which means any large marine mammal.

Nguyen was one of 41 students to make the final round.
