(CAMERON, Mo.)- A Missouri State Representative said he is being denied access inside the Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron to talk to inmates.
State Representative Brandon Ellington from Missouri's 22nd district said the prison will not allow him to talk with inmates about the conditions inside the prison.
Back on May 12, more than 200 inmates at the Crossroads Correctional Center staged a protest.
The inmates weren't pleased with short-staffing issue, which lead to things like shorter recreation times.
Most inmates surrendered, but some damaged property to several areas, including the kitchen.
Here is the full interaction between State Rep. Ellington and the prison.
