(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.)— An early Thursday morning severe thunderstorm has left thousands in the St. Joseph area without power.

A little after 1 a.m. Thursday morning a severe thunderstorm moved through the St. Joseph area leaving thousands of Evergy customers without power.
