Sunshine returns on Tuesday

After some much needed rain over the weekend we saw a few clouds make it into northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. A few sprinkles were found across the area and we saw a lot of clouds keeping our temperatures on the cool side.

After some much needed rain over the weekend we saw a few clouds make it into northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. A few sprinkles were found across the area and we saw a lot of clouds keeping our temperatures on the cool side.

The sunshine will make its full return on Tuesday along with much warmer air as high temperatures will rise up into the upper 80s during the afternoon.

For the rest of the week, the summer heat returns with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s Wednesday through Sunday. We'll be seeing mostly to partly sunny skies with on & off again rain/storm chances, especially late Thursday and Friday night and on Saturday.

Tuesday a cold front will push north and a warm front will move in. As the warm front moves in and remains stationary it will spark rain/storm chances Tuesday through Thursday. Thursday will be the warmest day of the week with a high in the upper 70s. A cold front moves back in Friday returning highs to the low 50s for the weekend.
