After almost a week of low humidity and below average temperatures, the 90s & the summer heat are making a comeback. Temperatures will continue to warm up across the region with highs reaching into lower 90s for your Thursday. We have some clouds and light stray showers passing through the northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas this morning due to a weak system to our north. The rain will quickly dissipate and we'll see more sunshine heading into the afternoon.
High pressure down to our south will allow the southwest winds to begin picking up. It will also allow the hot & humid air to move back in and have highs stay in the 90s Friday through early next week.
We'll stay dry & sunny on Friday and through the weekend. There is a chance we'll see better chances of rain in the forecast Monday through Tuesday. Something we'll have to wait and see if the models can hold together on. Stay tuned! We'll cool back down to the 80s with mostly sunny skies on Wednesday.
