University Police investigating sexual assault report at NWMSU

Northwest Missouri State University Police received a report on Tuesday of a sexual assault that happened on campus.

(MARYVILLE, Mo.) Northwest Missouri State University Police received a report on Tuesday of a sexual assault that happened on campus.

The report said the assault occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on October 14. It allegedly happened in the women's restroom on the second floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union.

Authorties said the suspect is described as a tall, white male with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Anyone with information about incident is asked to call University Police at 660-562-1254.

After Monday's system moves away, we will see the return of sunshine and even warmer temperatures for Tuesday. Highs Tuesday will likely be in the lower 60s. The warm weather continues until the next chance for widespread rain that comes late Wednesday into Thursday morning as another cold front pushes through the area. We'll have cloudy skies by Thursday afternoon, but it will be much cooler with highs in the mid 40s.
