1940-2019

Helen Medley, 79, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.
She was born April 29, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances (Murphy) Jacobs; sisters, Ernestine Stuck, Marjorie Jacobs; brothers, John, Charles and Francis Jacobs.
Survivors include sons, Eric Medley (Teri), Charleston, SC, Chris Medley (Danny), Kansas City, MO; daughter Megan Medley, Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Talia Medley; sister, Betty Jacobs; sister-in-law, Julia Jacobs, numerous nieces and nephews.

Moving into the weekend, we will be keeping an eye on the potential for flooding rain and strong thunderstorms. On Saturday, the rain might hold off until the afternoon but will be widespread late Saturday and into Sunday. This is when the heaviest rain should fall. Expect rainfall totals to be anywhere from 2-4 inches. This could bring area streams and rivers to flood stage so make sure you are watching out for that.
