Connie Sue (McCauley) Jobes
Connie Sue (McCauley) Jobes, 65, Pittsburg, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at her home with her husband, son, and dog, Buster, by her side.
She was born August 24, 1953, to Everett and Betty McCauley in St. Joseph.
Connie graduated from Mid-Buchanan High School in 1971 and received a degree from Gard Business College.
She married Dennis Jobes December 31, 1996, in Hermitage, Missouri.
Connie worked in the home healthcare field for most of her life until retirement. She was an avid Mizzou fan and attended many Mizzou softball games with her husband. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a proud mother and grandmother. Connie also enjoyed her life at the lake where she hosted many family reunions. She went on many road trips with her husband for Mizzou games, camping, and a memorable trip to Jamaica. Connie was also able to take a friend and WWII veteran, Norm, to Washington, D.C., for his Honor Flight.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Betty; infant sister, Vickie Marie McCauley; brother, Richard McCauley; and daughter, Vicki Sue Crockett.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis; son, Cory Crockett (Tina); stepchildren, Betsy Croom (Eric) and Brian Jobes (Bridget); grandchildren, Clair Jobes and Kate Jobes; brothers, Les McCauley (Sue), Jim "Bo" McCauley (Kathy), and Scottie McCauley (Tara); sisters, Bonnie Buglewicz (Buck), Sandee O'Donnell (Danny), and Cheryl White (Jay); sister-in-law, Holly; and many nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, Wesley United Methodist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Mrs. Jobes will be removed from Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory to arrive at the church one hour prior to the service.
