Florence Marie Haefeli, 97, passed away on May 6, 2018 with her daughter by her side. Florence was born on February 13, 1921 in St. Joseph, MO to Amelia and Ted Alders.

She leaves behind her daughter Patty, sister Doris and nephew Mark Bowdle of San Jose, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, Mother, Father, brothers Melvin and Ted Alders Jr., Uncles Leonard, Elmer and Charles Papst.

On October 9, 1943 she married the love of her life, Harry Haefeli, and had 65 happy wonderful years together.

Florence was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 66 years, presently a member of the Deer Park congregation.

After graduation from Central High School she worked for Big Smith, Westab, and Holly's doing factory and secretarial work.

Florence had devoted her life to helping and caring for others, working along side her husband in the ministry work, finding joy in helping others learn about their Heavenly Father.

Her deep faith helped her to endure many trials and illnesses with grace and dignity. She loved to help others and always found a way to enrich their lives. Her beautiful smile always brought joy and encouragement to everyone.

Florence will be remembered as a devoted wife and Mother, always displaying unselfish love.

Her family and friends will dearly miss her and be grateful for the many years they had together with this special lady. She brought sunshine and happiness to everyone.

Memorial service conducted by Didier DeVore will be May 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4605 Pickett Rd. Visitation with family and friends will follow the service.

We will have a chilly end to the work week. We had a nice day weather wise on Thursday but a cold front will bring cooler temperatures into northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri.
