1946-2018

Robert “Pal” Jackson, 72, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, at his home.
He was born May 9, 1946, to Raymond and Emma Rebecca (Yarbrough) Jackson in St. Joseph. Pal graduated from Lafayette High School, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Mid-America Nazarene University.
He married Meri Beth Dewey on August 20, 1971. She survives of the home.
Pal was a manager for child support enforcement in the State of Missouri.
He was a member of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church, the St. Joseph Woodworkers Guild, Maxwell Heights Fire Protection Board, the Antiques Fan Club, and the Antique Clocks Club.
Pal was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ramona Clark and Raydene Jackson; and brother, Ronald Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Alicia Heitman (Matt); grandchildren, Emma and Asher Heitman; brothers, Ramon (Carol) and Roger (Barbara) Jackson; sisters, Roberta Hixson and Ronda Hendrix (Larry); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Farewell Services 3:00 P.M. Monday, Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. Interment Ebenezer Cemetery in St. Joseph. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
