Bill's Obituary

William "Bill" Marcum, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away November 24, 2019.
Bill was born on January 3, 1930, in Cameron, Missouri to the late Jefferson and Bertha (Jones) Marcum. He served in the United States Army and worked for Wonder Bread.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife June (Goodman) Marcum.
Surviving family: daughters, Linda Hamm and Marlene Poppa (Jim); grandchildren, Jennifer Hutcherson (Tim), Tanner Hamm, Megan Branstetter (Ryan), Greg Poppa (Danielle); eight great-grandchildren.
Per his wishes, Mr. Marcum has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman- Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Private inurnment at a later date.
The family has requested memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Monday we had mostly sunny skies for much of the day across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri until the afternoon when we saw a few clouds move into the area. We will clear out late tonight into tomorrow morning then have lots of sunshine along with hot and humid conditions.
