Northwest football ready for 2018 after down year

After finishing 9-3 and getting bounced in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs last season, Northwest Missouri State football looks to get back on track in 2018.

(KANSAS CITY, Ks.) After finishing 9-3 and getting bounced in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs last season, Northwest Missouri State football looks to get back on track in 2018.

At the MIAA Media Day at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas, head coach Rich Wright, senior offensive lineman Zach Flott and senior linebacker Nick Hess all spoke at the annual event. 

The Bearcats open the season at home against Missouri Western August 30th at 7:00 p.m.

A high pressure system is starting to move away from northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas on Wednesday. This has given the region beautiful fall-like temperatures. Partly sunny skies, highs in the 70s and mild dew points are anticipated through Wednesday night.
