Chiefs announce Bieniemy’s return as offensive coordinator

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) The Kansas City Chiefs have announced the return of a former offensive coordinator to serve in that same position in 2026.

The Chiefs announced Eric Bieniemy has returned to the team as the offensive coordinator.

Bieniemy was with the Chiefs from 2013-2022. He was the running backs coach from 2013-2017. Bieniemy took over as the offensive coordinator in 2018 and held that job until the end of the 2022 season.

Bieniemy spent one season as the Commanders’ OC in 2023. He went to UCLA to be the OC in 2024 and spent 2025 as the Bears’ running backs coach.

Bieniemy won two Super Bowls (LIV, LVII) with Kansas City.
