One taken to hospital after early morning fire in St. Joseph

2000 MAIN STREET FIRE ST. JOSEPH

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- One individual was brought to the hospital after an early morning fire on Sunday in the north end of St. Joseph.

Around 6:30 am on Jan. 25, multiple crews responded to and found a home engulfed in flames and smoke around the 2000 block of Main Street, according to the St. Joseph Fire Department.

Engine 12, Engine 11, Engine 9, Engine 4, Rescue 10, Rescue 1, Truck 7, Battalion Chief 33, and Battalion 43 quickly attacked the fire according to the SJFD's social media post. One person at the scene was taken to the hospital with injuries sustained in the fire.

No firefighters were injured during this call. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
