Belton Police Officer faces rape charges

Collin Goodsell is charged with first-degree rape after allegedly forcing himself on a woman almost a decade ago.

BELTON, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Belton, Missouri, Police Officer is facing rape charges after allegedly forcing himself on a woman between the year's of 2017 and 2018.

Collin K. Goodsell was arrested in Lee's Summit, Missouri, on Thursday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) took part in an investigation in December of 2025.

The DDCC obtained a probable cause arrest Goodsell for raping the woman.

Goodsell was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on an investigative hold when the Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Goodsell with rape in the first degree Friday.

Goodsell is currently being held in the Pettis County Jail without bond.
