Basketball 2 Night: Girls basketball district champions crowned Friday night

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — On Friday night, eight northwest Missouri area girls basketball teams won district championships.

In Class 3 District 16, #1 South Harrison defeated three-seed Lawson, 43-42.

No. 2 Bishop LeBlond won the Class 3 District 15 title, 31-25, against #1 Mid-Buchanan.

As for Class 2, #1 Albany beat #2 Maysville, 43-31, in the District 16 championship.

#2 Barstow bested #1 Plattsburg in the District 15 championship, 36-19.

Top seed Rock Port outlasted 2-seed Mound City, 41-37, in the Class 1 District 16 championship.

In Class 1 District 15, #3 North Andrew took the district title against #1 King City, 26-24.

#1 Gilman City beat #2 Princeton, 33-25, in the Class 1 District 14 title game.

Over in Class 1 District 13, #4 Norborne won, 48-44, against #2 Hardin-Central.
