Tracking a gloomy and cooler Friday

Good morning and happy Friday. As you head out the door, temperatures are in the upper 40s to low 50s.

We’ll warm up through the day, but it will be noticeably cooler than yesterday, with highs reaching the low to mid-60s. Rain that moved through overnight has pushed to the south, leaving behind some patchy fog and visibility issues this morning. Cloud cover will remain in place throughout the day before rain chances increase again later this evening.

Rain and a few thunderstorms are possible overnight into early Saturday, continuing through around midday. Temperatures will warm this weekend, with highs in the mid-70s both Saturday and Sunday.

Additional chances for thunderstorms return Sunday into Monday, and again Monday night into Tuesday morning. We’re continuing to monitor the potential for a few stronger storms early next week, so be sure to stay up to date with the latest forecast on KQ2.
