Main Street Saint Joseph hosts workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Main Street Saint Joseph is inviting aspiring entrepreneurs to a free public workshop hosted by Shelbie Wigington, Entrepreneur Advisor at Missouri Western State University and the Small Business Development Center.

The workshop will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20 at the Launch Pad, located at 801 Felix St.

According to a news release, the session will walk participants through the fundamentals of starting a business.

"This workshop is all about helping people take that first step," Christy George, Main Street Saint Joseph board member and Mosaic Life Care's Downtown Liaison, stated in the release. "We want to make starting a business feel approachable and achievable, especially here in Downtown St. Joseph. We're also excited to be working with MWSU and it's SBDC to support this initiative and strengthen entrepreneurship in our Downtown."

The workshop, "From Idea to Open Doors: A Guide to Starting Your Business, Downtown or Beyond!" is free but registration is encouraged.
