ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Mach Mayom put pen to paper today as he signed his college letter of intent to play basketball for the Vincennes Trailblazers.

Mayom is thrilled to find a home in Vincennes, In. and is focused on improving his game.

"It's always been a dream of mine to play at the next level," Mayom said. "Coach Franklin is out there and he's developed a lot of players. It was just the winning program that caught my eye."

Jared Boone, head coach of the Benton Cardinals boys basketball team, is excited to see another one of his players move on to the next level. He made sure to note that Vincennes was getting more than just a basketball player.

"First of all, they're getting a great person," said Boone. "He's turned into a an amazing young man and I couldn't be happier and thrilled for him."
