MSHP & Gentry County Sheriff’s Office investigating deaths at a home in Albany

ALBANY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Two adults were found dead at a home in Albany on Saturday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

At 11:21 am on Saturday, May 9, the Gentry County Sheriff's Office responded to a well-being check on 7th Street in Albany. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult female and male deceased, along with a deceased canine.

Gentry County authorities requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control to investigate the scene as a shooting. The investigation is ongoing. Autopsies are being scheduled later. No further details are available at this time.

Next of kin have been notified according to law enforcement. There is no known danger to the community at this time, according to the MSHP.
