Tracking a windy and warmer Tuesday

We are turning up the heat on Tuesday as a big warm up settles in across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas as we start the work week. After a cool and comfortable start to the day with temperatures in the 50's, we will see them climb quickly through the morning and into the afternoon with highs pushing into the mid 80's which is well above average for mid-May.

Sunshine will be found for much of the day although a few passing clouds will filter in and out of the area at times. Winds will start out on the gusty side during the morning hours out of the southwest helping bring in warmer air into the area.

Tuesday night turns quieter and cooler with clearing skies and lows dipping back into the upper 40's to low 50's.
