Chiefs set for 6 primetime games in 2026

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) -- Despite a 6-11 record in 2025, the Kansas City Chiefs will have six primetime games during the 2026 season.

The NFL announced the full-league schedule Thursday night and Kansas City will start the season with a home game against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football on September 14.

The Chiefs will host the Colts on Sunday Night Football on Sept. 20 before heading on the road for a Week 3 game against the Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 27. The Chiefs will travel to Las Vegas in Week 4 for 3:25 p.m. Sunday kickoff on Oct. 4.

Kansas City will have a bye in Week 5.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, the Chiefs will host the Los Angeles Chargers at 3:25 p.m. in Week 6. Kansas City will go on the road for two weeks in Week 7 and Week 8. The Chiefs will visit the defending Super Bowl champions — Seattle Seahawks — for Sunday Night Football on Sunday, Oct. 25.

In Week 8, the Chiefs will be at Denver on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3:25 p.m. Kansas City will play three-straight Sunday noon games in Weeks 9, 10, and 11. The Chiefs will host the Jets on Nov. 8 and then head to Atlanta on Nov. 15 before coming back home on Nov. 22 against the Cardinals.

Kansas City will have a short week between Week 11 and Week 12. The Chiefs will play at the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 26.

In Week 13, the Chiefs will play again on Thursday Night Football against the Rams in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, Dec. 13, the Chiefs head to Cincinnati for a 3:25 p.m. game against the Bengals in Week 14.

As for Week 15, Kansas City will host the defending AFC Champions — the New England Patriots — on Monday Night Football on Dec. 21.

The Chiefs will host the 49ers at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 27 in Week 16.

Kansas City will play at the Chargers in Week 17 and will host the Raiders in Week 18. The dates and times for these games have not been decided.
