Tracking early-week heat and sunshine

Toasty afternoons and lots of sunshine will continue across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas from Memorial Day, through mid-week. Scattered rain and thunderstorm chances will return to the forecast late Wednesday, and persist through Friday, eventually promoting a slight cool-off as temperatures fall closer to average for this time of year. Until then, expect daytime highs to reach the mid to upper 80s, with overnight lows in the mid to low 60s.
