Flood Warning issued June 13 at 7:43PM CDT until June 18 at 9:50PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Missouri…

Grand River near Sumner affecting Linn, Carroll, Livingston and
Chariton Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Grand River near Sumner.

* WHEN…Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage
begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is
flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water. At 37.0 feet,
State Highway 139 floods a half mile east of Sumner.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 6:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 37.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 37.6 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
Wednesday evening.
– Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
