Battle of undefeated teams ends with Siege on top

DOWNTOWN ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- At the Civic Arena on Saturday evening, the St. Joseph Goats lost the battle of the undefeated teams against the Nebraska Siege.

Both teams entered Saturday with a 3-0 record in the Arena League. Something had to give. The score was tied at halftime, but Nebraska pushed ahead and defeated the Goats, 56-47, throughout the second half.

The St. Joseph Goats are now 3-1. They will stay in town to face the Eau Claire Axemen. The Axemen will visit after a 56 to 47 loss to the Iowa Woo at home Saturday.

The Goats and Axemen will face off at the Civic Arena in St. Joseph on June 27, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 pm.
