MoDOT scheduled road work across Northwest Missouri for June 22–28

MISSOURI, (KQTV) -- The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced planned highway maintenance and construction projects across Northwest Missouri for the week of June 22–28.

Drivers should expect lane closures, width restrictions, and several full road closures.

All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Andrew County

• Interstate 29 – Concrete replacement northbound between mile markers 57–59 (June 22–23) and southbound between markers 59–57 (June 23–24). One lane will remain open around the clock.
• U.S. Route 59 – Pavement repair at Route DD, June 22–25.

Atchison County

• U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing from I-29 to U.S. Route 71 through August 2026. One lane open with a 10-foot wide restriction.
• Route YY – CLOSED for culvert replacement near U.S. Route 136 and 190th Street, June 22, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Buchanan County

• Gene Field Road Bridge – CLOSED for replacement through July 2026.
• U.S. Route 59/Route 752/Route U – Intersection improvements through spring 2027.
• U.S. Route 169 – Intersection work at Route FF through mid-August 2026 (10-foot width restriction; 49th Street access closed through June 2026).
• U.S. Route 169 – CLOSED at Southeast Riverside Terrace for intersection work through mid-July 2026.
• I-29 ramps at Route DD (Exit 35) – Overnight ramp closures for shoulder work, June 22–26.
• Routes H and E – Scrub seal projects, June 22–26.

Caldwell County

• Route 13 – Resurfacing from Gallatin to Hamilton through June 2026. One lane open with flaggers.
• Route U – CLOSED at Tom Creek Bridge for replacement through mid-September 2026.

Carroll County

• Routes 139 and D – ADA sidewalk improvements in Hale and Norborne through June 2026.

Chariton County

• Route D – CLOSED for pothole patching, June 22–23, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Route DD – CLOSED for pothole patching, June 23–25, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Clinton County

• I-35 – Pavement rehabilitation southbound from Lathrop to south Cameron through September 2026. One lane open each direction in northbound lanes.
• Route 69 – Resurfacing from Route 116 to Clay County line through June 2026. One lane with flaggers.

Daviess County

• Route 13 – Resurfacing and ADA work in Gallatin through June 2026. One lane with flaggers.
• Route C – Resurfacing, June 24–Aug. 8. Possible closures or one-lane with flaggers.
• I-35 – Concrete replacement southbound between mile markers 79–74, June 22–26. One lane open 24/7.

DeKalb County

• U.S. Route 36 – Intersection improvements at Bob F. Griffin Road through November 2026.
• Route K – Scrub seal project, June 22–26.

Gentry County

• Route P – Resurfacing, June 24–July 22. Possible closures or one-lane with flaggers.

Grundy County

• Route E – CLOSED at Medicine Creek Bridge for deck replacement starting June 22 through September 2026.

Linn County

• Route C – CLOSED at Long Branch Bridge for replacement through October 2026.
• Route PP – CLOSED for patching, June 22–23, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Route 11 – Pothole patching, June 25, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Route 129 – Pothole patching, June 25, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mercer County

• Route D – CLOSED at West Muddy Creek Bridge for replacement through September 2026.
• U.S. Route 136 – Bridge deck replacement at Grand River Overflow Bridge in Princeton through early October 2026. One lane with temporary signals.
• U.S. Routes 136 & 65 – ADA sidewalk improvements in Princeton and South Lineville through June 2026.
• Route B – CLOSED for culvert replacement, June 22, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Route W – CLOSED for culvert replacement, June 23, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Route B – CLOSED for culvert replacement, June 24, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• U.S. Route 71 – Resurfacing from Iowa state line to U.S. Route 136 through August 2026. One lane open with 10-foot width restriction.
• U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing from I-29 to U.S. Route 71 through August 2026. One lane open with 10-foot width restriction.
• Route VV – CLOSED for bridge replacement starting June 22 through November 2026.
• Hawk Road at U.S. Route 71 – Access CLOSED through June 26; U.S. 71 narrowed to one lane at White Cloud Creek Bridge with temporary signals.
• Route YY – CLOSED for culvert work, June 23–24, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; CLOSED for ditching, June 25, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Route N – CLOSED at Turkey Creek Bridge for replacement through July 2026.
• Route 5 – Resurfacing from Unionville to Milan through July 2026. One lane with pilot car.

• Route T – CLOSED at East Locust Creek Bridge for replacement through July 2026.
• Route 5 – Resurfacing from Unionville to Milan through July 2026. One lane with pilot car.
