Tracking a warmer Tuesday with pm rain chances

Good morning and happy Tuesday.

We're starting the day with temperatures in the low 60s and relatively clear skies across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. It is another comfortable start to the morning, but clouds will gradually increase throughout the day as our next weather system approaches.

Cloud cover will become more noticeable by lunchtime, with scattered showers developing during the afternoon and evening hours. While not everyone will see rain, periods of light scattered showers are expected across the region through the second half of the day.

Rain chances will briefly diminish overnight before another round of light scattered showers moves through early Wednesday morning. Showers are expected to come to an end by midday Wednesday, allowing skies to gradually clear through the afternoon and evening.

High temperatures today will climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s, a few degrees warmer than Monday. Temperatures will remain in the low 80s Wednesday with improving conditions during the second half of the day.

The next chance for rain arrives Thursday evening and continues into Friday morning. Temperatures will remain seasonable, with highs in the low 80s both Thursday and Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, drier weather returns along with a warming trend. High temperatures are expected to climb back into the upper 80s and lower 90s by Saturday and Sunday, bringing a more summerlike feel back to the region.
