ST. JOSEPH, Mo (KQTV) -- The family of a car accident victim hosted a volleyball fundraiser on Saturday morning for the Savannah Domann Memorial Volleyball Scholarship.

Savannah Domann was killed in a car accident in January 2022 in St. Joseph.

She was the coach of Mid-Buchanan Volleyball and the Storm Volleyball club.

Ever since the accident, her family has opened the Savannah Domann Memorial Volleyball Scholarship.

The event took place at Revolution Lanes in downtown St. Joseph.

During the tournament, a silent auction took place. One hundred percent of the proceeds went toward the scholarship fund.

"It's kind of like one of those choke ya up moments. Everyone coming together and playing for Savannah and who she was and will always be to them," Savannah's sister, Morgan Domann, said. "We appreciate that everyone comes out."

The family has awarded 18 scholarships to athletes in the area since its inception.

Each scholarship is worth $500.
