Graves announces $9M grant for the Interstate 29/35 Project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- District 6 Congressman Sam Graves announced that the Interstate 29 and Interstate 35 Corridor Project has received a $9 million BUILD (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development) grant.

“The Interstate 29 and Interstate 35 Corridor Project is critical to the future of the Northland and greater North Missouri,” Graves said. “This BUILD grant will help improve reliability, mobility, and safety on the Interstate 29/35 Corridor and will ensure these much-needed improvements get closer to construction."

The grant will fund engineering, public outreach, environmental analysis, and the final designs for the U.S. Route 169 connection to Interstate 29 and Interstate 35.

The project will include preliminary engineering and NEPA clearance for two interchanges: I-29 and U.S. 169 and I-29 and North Oak.
