SJFD confirm small fire at Genesis Health Clubs

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Around 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 12, the St. Joseph Fire Department was called to Genesis Health Clubs at 3107 North Belt Highway for a fire.

SJFD said that the fire happened in a utility room in the building when an electrical box caught flame. First responders said that the structure was not affected by the fire; however, the power was cut to prevent any danger.

The location posted on social media that the club is temporarily closed and that they are working to reopen as soon as possible. KQ2 has reached out to Genesis to determine the exact timeline for reopening.
