Get to know: Nathanael Schultz, Republican Primary Candidate for U.S. Representative District 6

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Nathanael Schultz is a husband, father, small business owner and hopeful for U.S. Representative, District 6.

Schultz is proud of his connection to rural communities in Northwest Missouri. He hopes to fight for smaller communities and their values if he makes it to Washington, D.C.

"There's a massive woke agenda that's being pushed, um, and it's aimed at Washington in particular because there's a massive trickle-down effect, so whenever I talk about that, I, I'm thinking about issues that are affecting people right here in North Missouri."

Some of the main points he would like to keep true to in his fight to make it to our nation's capital are protecting the right to life for unborn children. He would also like to help families and businesses by reducing policies that would lower costs and support businesses, while also ending foreign land ownership in the United States.

"I'm uniquely suited for that because I'm a business owner. I'm used to finding a problem and then finding a way to fix it. So that's where my experience is, um, and that's what I'm aimed at," Schultz told KQ2. "The whole concept there is being able to uh provide a future for my family and my kids uh that I want them to grow up in."

Schultz mentioned that he is guided by Biblical values and hopes this helps him assist local communities in making decisions that align with their own values.

"There's things that (are) happening in Washington that affect north Missouri specifically. So that's a big one: going after making sure that we get that Save America Act pushed and that we're protecting the infrastructure and the programs that belong to north Missourians," Schultz said.

Schultz is a Republican primary option on the Aug. 4 ballot for the United States 6th Congressional District against Chris Stigall, Nathan Willett, Cody Oshel and Jim Ingram.
