Nodaway Valley Bank/FHB Loan Bank of Des Moines give triple-digit grant to Savannah Aquatic Center

SAVANNAH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Savannah Aquatic Center, through the Andrew County Aquatics Initiative, has received a $100,000 grant thanks to two banks.

The northwest Missouri-based Nodaway Valley Bank (NVB) partnered with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB) on a three-to-one matching grant through their Member Impact Fund. NVB applied for the grant with FHLB, which took the original $25,000 gift and tripled it.

Nodaway Valley Bank CEO James G. Robinson was proud to make it happen as the bank sees the value to the community that Savannah's pool provides.

"Nodaway Valley Bank recognizes the importance of Savannah’s municipal swimming pool and is pleased to be able to help fund its renovation so it can continue to serve the community for years to come."

The announcement came via a post by Nodaway Valley Bank on Wednesday, August 5. The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri serves as the 501c3 umbrella organization to receive contributions to the Andrew County Aquatics Initiative.

The initiative said the funds will go toward renovations and daily expenses to keep the pool going.
