Heat Advisory issued August 11 at 12:09PM CDT until August 12 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Topeka KS

* WHAT…Heat index values up to 105.

* WHERE…Brown and Nemaha Counties.

* WHEN…Until 8 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat cramps,
heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
