Downtown Maryville Market takes place in new location Saturday

MARYVILLE, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Downtown Maryville Market moved to the newly completed Downtown pavilion for the first time this weekend.

The Downtown Maryville Market is a series of markets held every Saturday from May 16th to October 3rd. The markets allow community members to sell various products and services, including food, crafts, and face painting. Sparkle Feather Artistry Owner Racheal Wood said the market builds a community among Maryville residents.

“I love coming to the market because there's always so much energy and fun and the interactions, even between the vendors; it's really kind of built bonds and relationships,” Wood said. “Everybody knows each other, and everybody helps each other out.”

The Maryville Downtown pavilion is one of the city of Maryville's recent projects, along with the pedestrian alleyway project. The Maryville City Council approved the pavilion project in February 2026, and it recently opened to the public. Wood said the pavilion allows space for more patrons and vendors.

“We were definitely kind of in a tight area, and I feel like we're getting so much more open, so much more just air between people walking,” Wood said. “It's just the flow feels so much more amazing, just the way that it's laid out.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the market's official move is expected later in September.
