Tracking a warmer Friday

Summer like weather returns to the area on Friday across northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. The warm air and the humidity will start to return back to the area and stick around for the weekend.

It will be a muggy start to the day with temperatures generally in the upper 60s and the skies will feature a mixture of sun and clouds but we should be rain free. Temperatures will start to climb by the afternoon and reach into the upper 80s and lower 90s.

There will be a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms as we head into the late night hours of your Friday but the chances are low at this time.
