Noah Cameron picks up 8th victory of the season as Kansas City Royals defeat Detroit Tigers

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) - St. Joseph native Noah Cameron picked up his 8th victory of the season on the mound on Friday as the Kansas City Royals defeat the Detroit Tigers at home, 5-2.

Cameron pitched 5 innings, allowing just 2 hits and no runs while adding 2 strikeouts. The Central alum now has a 4.02 ERA and an 8-8 record on the season.

Cameron's next start will be on Thursday, August 27th at the Toronto Blue Jays in Canada at 6:07 pm.

The Royals improve to 56-74 on the season and now have won 6 straight games and 7 of their last 8. The Tigers and Royals will play again on Saturday, August 22nd at 6:15 pm.
