BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Fort Scott, Kansas woman suffered serious injuries after crashing into a tractor-trailer in Buchanan County Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 9:25 p.m. on Interstate 29 North, about two miles from Dearborn, Missouri.

A 69-year-old Kansas woman driving in the left lane became disoriented in a construction zone, moved to the right lane and hit the back of a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder.

The Kansas woman was wearing a seatbelt, and first responders took her to Mosaic Life Care for serious injuries.
