McCarthy lands on Prep Baseball Report Missouri Class of 2028 Top 10 rankings

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Benton High School junior has been named one of the top baseball players in the state of Missouri, according to Prep Baseball Report.

Cardinals junior infielder Porter McCarthy is ranked 10th overall in Prep Baseball Report Missouri's Top 10 rankings for the Class of 2028.

McCarthy is listed as a shortstop and second baseman.

According to Prep Baseball Report's scouting report, McCarthy's swing has reached a maximum velocity of 93.8 mph.

McCarthy competed in the PBR Future Games in July and was named to the 16U USA Baseball Midwest All-Region team in July.
