St. Joseph Frontier Casino hosts second annual Corvette car show

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Frontier Casino hosted its second annual Corvette car show this weekend, drawing a strong turnout despite scorching temperatures.

Around 145 cars were on display, a slight dip from last year but still a solid showing during a sweltering day.

Organizers described the crowd as engaged and enthusiastic, with the event expanded into a full weekend of activities.

Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, performances by a regional band, local vendors, and car owners showcasing their vehicles.

Casino leadership also emphasized the importance of collaboration among local businesses.

"I think it's important all the businesses in town work together, building relationships and things like that," said Don Wren, Vice President of the casino. "We're really happy to be part of this whole thing. We have local vendors here, food vendors, a lot of these cars are from local people. We have a band here from Kansas City. A lot of really cool things to be proud of here at Saint Joe."

For the outdoor concerts, Boogie Night KC will perform from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, and Doc's 100 Proof will take the stage from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday.
