Nodaway County wreck on Saturdays sends one to hospital

NODAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- One female from Mound City is in the hospital with serious injuries after being ejected from a truck on Route ZZ about four miles north of Graham.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H, the incident took place around 3:33 pm when a 2003 GMC Sierra PK was traveling southbound on Route ZZ and went off the road. The vehicle then struck an embankment, overturned, and ejected the 51-year-old female from Mound City.

Both the female and a 51-year-old male were taken to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville.

The passenger suffered serious injuries and was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report. The driver was wearing a seat belt and only suffered minor injuries.

MSHP was assisted by the Nodaway County Sheriff's Department, Nodaway County Ambulance, Atchison and Holt Ambulance, and Skidmore Fire Department.
