Savannah High School boys soccer shuts out Bishop LeBlond on the road

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) - The Savannah High School boys soccer team picked up an 8-0 shutout road victory over Bishop LeBlond on Tuesday.

The Savages had two seniors both finish the hat-tricks of 3 goals each, Kris O'Neal and Aidan Davies. The other two goals were scored by seniors Jordan Lambotte and Nate Bush.

"It's always nice, but I prefer just getting the win. Just trying to find all my teammates across the field and get the win at the end of the game," said O'Neal.

"These guys, when they came in as a freshman, and we can go back and look at the scores, I think we won only four or five games," said Savannah head coach Jeff O'Neal. "They've gone through what LeBlond is going through right now. They got some young guys and we were at the same stage. They've worked their tail off all four years. Them coming back, I have the leadership on the team here. Yhey know the game and it's great watching them play again."

Savannah improves to 4-3 on the season and next plays at rival Maryville on Wednesday, september 23rd at 5 pm. Bishop LeBlond falls to 0-4 and next hosts St. Pius X on Thursday, September 24th at 5 pm.
