Tracking a mild Thursday with rain returning

A pleasant fall day is ahead Thursday across northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas, with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures staying in the 70s. Dry weather will continue through the day before rain chances return Thursday night.

Rain will become more widespread Friday and continue into the weekend. The best chances for rain will be north of Interstate 70, with showers possible across much of the region.

A few isolated, non-severe thunderstorms could develop Saturday, mainly along the Missouri-Kansas border and north of I-70. Rain chances will gradually decrease Sunday, although a few showers could linger.

Temperatures will remain relatively cool through the weekend, with warmer weather potentially returning early next week.
