Master Sgt. Kiley A. Hickok Gibson named Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Master Sgt. Kiley A. Hickok Gibson of the 139th Security Forces Squadron has been recognized as Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year.

Gibson was recognized for her work supporting the welfare, development and careers of Airmen in her unit.

Through counseling and mentorship, Gibson helped the squadron achieve a 90% retention rate, strengthening readiness while helping the unit retain experienced personnel.

Her work also extended beyond her squadron. Gibson organized a national symposium for Guard members from six states and personally mentored 25 individuals on financial stability.

Officials said those efforts helped Airmen protect their careers and maintain their security clearances.

The Missouri National Guard said Gibson's recognition highlights her commitment to supporting Airmen and strengthening the readiness of the unit.
