MWSU celebrates Homecoming with annual parade around campus

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Missouri Western State University celebrated homecoming Saturday afternoon with their annual parade around campus.

The Griffons played Nebraska-Kearney Saturday evening, and to celebrate before the big game, the homecoming parade filled the campus to wish the Griffons luck.

This year's parade was filled with floats, candy, and excited onlookers, with attendees saying this parade was one of the biggest they've seen.

Many came for different reasons, but with one purpose: to support the Griffs.

"The people that are in ROTC, I like watching them, seeing them do their thing because I was a military man myself, and my granddaughter happens to be one of them," said Donald Rathmann, an attendee.

Stay tuned to KQ2 News for highlights and more from the Griffons game.
