Tracking Tuesday’s Late Day Storms

Mike Bracciano KQ2

Tuesday is shaping up to be another warm day across Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri, but we are tracking some showers and thunderstorms as a cold front moves into the region.

We will start the day with mainly clear skies and temperatures will be in the lower to middle 60s. Sunshine will help the temperatures climb quickly through the 70s during the morning hours. The first half of the day looks dry but still on the warm side.

The summer like warmth continues with afternoon high temperatures reaching into the upper 80s and lower 90s. That is well above normal for this time of year. We will sunshine gradually give way to some clouds and chances for showers and thunderstorms.

Tuesday night and overnight is when we will see the best chances for showers and thunderstorms and some of the storms could become severe.
