Tracking a warm and sunny late-week

Sunshine and above average temperatures will prevail across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas through the week, as a ridge of high pressure remains anchored in place. Wednesday afternoon sunshine and highs in the upper 70s will lead into a mild and dry night with lows in the 50s and light winds. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday offer similar conditions and slightly warmer temperatures with highs approaching 80 degrees each day. Warmth is set to linger into Sunday and Monday despite increasing clouds and slight rain chances as a cold front approaches the region. Seasonably cool air returns by early next week as highs fall back into the 60s with lows in the 40s.
