Get To Know: Luke Rae, Democratic Candidate for U.S. Representative, District 11

Luke Rae

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Luke Rae, a pharmacist from Northwest Missouri, is running to become the next representative for Missouri's District 11.

Despite this being Rae's first venture into the political world, he has strong roots in the Northwest Missouri community.

A strong motivation for him going into this campaign is doing well in office, so future generations can benefit from his work.

"I think that it's really important to invest in our children," Rae said. "Not just for right now but for our future. Because they're gonna be our next leaders of this community and of this state and country."

One of the most controversial topics in the political world recently has been data centers.

Rae is going into this election cycle with a cautious approach.

"I'm against the data center right now with like at least a one-year moratorium in Missouri on these hyper-scale AI data centers," Rae said. "The water usage, electricity usage. I don't want it bills to go up."

Rae is making it an effort to show the community that he is an everyday person.

"I just want to be a voice of the people and take small donations," Rae said. "Serve the people of this community and not just the biggest donors and the big corporations."

Rae is running against Republican Taylor Crouse for the Missouri District 11 House of Representatives.
