Tracking Friday’s Storm Chances

Mike Bracciano KQ2

We are tracking unsettled weather to end the work week across Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri on Friday. We will have a chance for showers and thunderstorms, and plenty of cloud cover with temperatures running well above normal for the end of October.

Friday morning will bring us a chance for some showers and possibly a thunderstorm moving through the area from some overnight activity to the southwest of us. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s for lows but keep that umbrella handy as you head out the door Friday.

In the afternoon we will catch a break from the rain but the sunshine will be hard to find because of the next storm system making its way towards us late in the afternoon. There is a chance we could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms develop by the late afternoon. High temperatures will once again be above normal with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

By Friday night we will see our best chances for showers and thunderstorms as a disturbance makes its way into the area and as we head toward midnight the best chances for rain will be found. Saturday we will also have a chance for more scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area.
