ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A St. Joseph man has been charged with second-degree rape and incest.

Sethney L. Rosene faces a class D felony count of second-degree rape and a class E felony count of incest, according to Buchanan County court records.

In a probable cause statement, law enforcement wrote that a 17-year-old victim told investigators her father, Rosene, had been sexually assaulting her for about six years. She said the abuse included sexual intercourse and oral sex and occurred on a daily basis over that period.

The probable cause statement added that Rosene “showed a lack of concern for the juvenile victim’s well-being, physically, and emotionally, while under his care, custody, and control,” and that Rosene has “several prior cases involving the same type of allegations, with the same victim.”

The statement also said Rosene has prior convictions including criminal mischief, credit/debit card abuse, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, and criminal nonsupport, and that he has been arrested on three failure-to-appear warrants.

Rosene’s initial court appearance is set for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, before Judge Chad Gaddie in Division 5 at the Buchanan County Courthouse, 411 Jules St. in St. Joseph.

According to court documents, Rosene's bond was denied.
