Tracking a Chilly Start to Saturday

Mike Bracciano KQ2

We are looking at a pretty nice start to the weekend across Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. After a chilly start to the morning with temperatures in the lower 30s, we will start to warm up just a little by Saturday afternoon. If you have outdoor plans make sure to grab a coat.

We have a Frost advisory for all of the viewing area Saturday morning as temperatures will be dropping into the lower 30s. Some locations could briefly dip into the upper 20s around sunrise. Skies will be mostly clear by 8am and then temperatures will start to rise into the upper 30s.

By Saturday afternoon sunshine will dominate the area and that will help us start to warm up into the mid to upper 50s. The winds will start to turn and be out of the southwest at around 5 to 10 miles per hour. That is right about where we should be for this time of year as the normal high is 56 degrees. Sunday looks to be even warmer with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
